Application Documents for the Candidate- Evaluation Process

The following supporting documents are required for the application form:

i. . Application for participation in the MSc (available online)

ii. Copy of degree or certificate of completion of studies of a Greek University and in case of Greek graduates of foreign universities, certificate of correspondence and equivalence from DOATAP. Copy of degree of a foreign University for students of other nationalities.

iii. Certificate of all grades of the undergraduate courses stating the final grade of the title degree.

iv. Curriculum vitae detailing studies, professional experience and research activity, if any.

. A memorandum of up to 500 words stating the candidate’s scientific interests, as well as the reasons why he is interested in attending studies in the specific MSc.

vi.In order for candidates to participate in the selection process, knowledge of English is considered necessary which, when their mother tongue is not certified, is certified either by a degree from a corresponding English language University department

level B2 (The level of foreign language proficiency is demonstrated as follows:

a) State Certificate of Law 2740/1999 as replaced by paragraph 19 of article 13 of Law 3149/2003, b) With a degree in Foreign Language and Literature or a Degree in Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the country or equivalent and equivalent foreign schools, c) With a Bachelor’s, undergraduate or postgraduate diploma or doctoral degree of any recognized higher education institution abroad, d) With a Baccalaureate equivalent to Greek Secondary Education Schools, if they have been obtained after at least six years’ regular study abroad. The foreign language teaching license does not prove knowledge of a foreign language. Applicants holding the relevant license must provide a certified copy and an accurate translation of the qualification on the basis of which the foreign language teaching license was issued.

vii.Evidence of any research and writing activity, participation in educational student mobility programs, as well as professional experience relevant to the field of knowledge of the MSc.

viii.Desirable are two (2) letters of recommendation

ix. Photocopy of the passport.

 

The selection of candidates is made by evaluating the file of supporting documents, and a personal interview of the candidates by the three-member Admissions Selection Committee.
