General Description – Purpose
The School of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki organizes and operates from the academic year 2022-2023, the English-speaking MSc entitled “MSc – Cardiovascular Disease” (title in Greek “Cardiovascular Disease“)..
The purpose of the MSc is to cultivate and promote knowledge and specifically the latest research data in the above scientific fields to young scientists and researchers. Also, the production of research results in medical science and, in particular, in the field of Cardiovascular Disease. The aim is to provide postgraduate students with all the necessary knowledge to strengthen their knowledge with the latest techniques, which they will apply in their later medical career.
The subject is interdisciplinary postgraduate education, the promotion of knowledge as well as the development of research in the field of Cardiovascular Disease and its prevention.
The main objectives of the MSc are:

The provision of high-level postgraduate studies, both at theoretical level and at practical training level, given the nature of the educational subject.

The training of specialized graduates with solid theoretical knowledge that will ensure their ability to deal with complex problems presented in the field of Cardiovascular Disease.

The promotion of scientific research in the context of the elaboration of high-level relevant postgraduate Thesis.

The preparation of postgraduate students for doctoral thesis by cultivating and developing critical and research skills within the framework of the postgraduate program.
Principles of the MSc are to provide postgraduate students with modern scientific knowledge and appropriate research
methods and principles, such as will enable them to continuously train and improve daily clinical practice,
, and on the other hand, to cultivate in them practical skills required for a responsible and integrated scientific and professional activity.
The obligation of all the operating factors of the MSc is to ensure the quality and continuous improvement of the operation of the program, the educational and research process, as well as the promotion of collaborations with related Programs and Centers in Greece and abroad.
